Lite Licences for Amicus POS

Just a short blog about the new Amicus Lite Licences. The Lite licences have been created for the following edition types;

- Amicus for Supermarket Lite,
- Amicus for Restaurant Lite,
- Amicus for Fuel Outlet Lite,
- Amicus for Cafe Lite,
- Amicus for General Retail Lite.

The primary purpose of these licence types is to offer Amicus to our clients as a ‘smart cash register’ Point Of Sale (POS) system. As such, it has been stripped of all the in depth stock control, specialised pricing, data importation logic, as well as a majority of the reporting library (everything except for sales and customer reports).

The front menu has been designed to replicate the POS Licences, but unlike the POS licences, there is still access to some back office functionality via the top menu. Included back office functionality includes the majority of Maintenance and Sales functionality, the ability to add / edit products and customers, but completely removes suppliers.

Within the Add / Edit Customer dialog, the following tabs have been removed;

- Addresses,
- Customer Cards,
- Credit limits,
- General Orders,
- Hire,
- Repairs,
- Prices,
- Loyalty,
- Standing Orders,
- Contracts,
- Logins.

Within the Add / Edit Products the following tabs have been removed;

- Storage Location,
- Time Scheduling,
- Custom Fields

Lite licences fall under the express licence rules, and as such a customer may only have a maximum of 3 Lite licences.
