PCEFTPOS
Recently, we’ve had a complaint regarding PCEFTPOS. The issue was that sometimes the PCEFTPOS screen would flash the word ‘approved’ on the screen, and then disappear. The entire sale would disappear as well.
This type of thing is hard to find, as we always have trouble reproducing the error in-house. We did, however, go some way towards solving this issue. We found out why the sale was being reset. It is because the PCEFTPOS code was being called too late in the sale saving process, at a point where the screen will get reset regardless. What that means is that when an error message from the device is received, the screen will only display that message for a split second before being wiped.
Now that the screen will actually show the message and leave the sale alone, hopefully the error message being retrieved at the client site will show what is going on.

Just a quick post to display our new supermarket POS database template. As you can see, lots of thought has gone into the layout of the buttons and images, each cascading down as required.
